what i want: fall edition

When the seasons change and the leaves turn colors, it reminds me just how much I enjoy living in New England. I was in New York City last weekend and got a chance to take in some of the brisk fall temps and found myself in a bit of a daydream about how much I love NYC.  The thing about New York is that being in the city in the summer kind of sucks; it is the cold spring and fall seasons when NYC feels its best to me.

One of my favorite things about fall is the transition into hibernation mode. Snuggling in on cold nights with a bourbon, a book and the kitties. Now that we have our new house I have a sneaking suspicion that the fireplace is going to be in high demand!

When it comes to being a New Englander in fall, my ideal fashion can easily be summed up in one word: Comfort

Fall has so many wonderful things about it: mulled cider cocktails,  pumpkin pie, squash prepared in a million ways.  Food coma aside, fashion is great too. This is probably my favorite season for recycling old faves, busting out the box of hoodies and sweaters and falling in love with them all over again.  Summer I always go overboard buying new clothing and then next summer donate them because I don’t love them but a good sweater only gets better with age.

Here are some cozy items from my favorite brands which make the top of my fall wishlist this season:

Super Soft Sweater

lou&grey cashmere boatneck tunic | $198

Fireside Slippers

ugg australia ansley slipper | $75

Boots (since I killed mine last winter)

muk luks.png

muk luks bianca boots | $119

Collared Jacket

loft tab collar coat | $188

Metallic Candle

illume candles balsam and cider fragrance in luxe sanded mercury glass | $54

What are your favorite fall must haves? For me anything that slips me into a comfortable relaxing mood is totally on point!

Currently listening to: It began with a burst by Kishi Bashi which can be found on my Paisley Rosie Featured Songs Spotify Playlist!
