This election cycle has been bananas. I think my anxiety level is at it’s peak right now and my normal outlets to unwind, hello social media, are insanity right now. Even my instagram feed, which was relatively neutral until election day, is filled with sad political messages.
Times like these call for unplugging and getting lost in a good book. It is a wonderful way to clear my head and get back to focusing on things I can actually manage and control in my life.
A few weeks ago I started to stop using my phone an hour before bed. That has been great and really encourage picking up a book more often.
